Canary Knits featured me on their blog!

A big thank you to Teresa Gregorio (a great designer in her own right who's had many of her patterns featured in various magazines) of Canary Knits (http://www.canaryknits.com/) for featuring me as an independent designer on her blog.  Please check out her great designs as well.

Happy New Year to all!

Busy Holidays

So much to catch up on.  The holidays were extremely busy.  I can't say I got much rest.  There were a few points of interest though.  During the holidays, we took to kids to Ripley's Aquarium of Canada in downtown Toronto (https://www.ripleyaquariums.com/canada/).

After that, we went to Guu Izakaya (http://guu-izakaya.com/).  Picture a tapas style Japanese bar - that's Guu.  Food was awesome!  You are greeted very loudly as you enter the restaurant and when you leave.  What a great experience.

And lastly, for Christmas Eve, we made bacon infused bourbon following Timothy Ferriss' method in the 4 Hour Chef - Woo Hoo!  That was some powerful bourbon.  Fat washing was traditionally used to refine alcohol. So what happens when you put a flavoured fat in? A unique taste experience like none other, with a swizel stick of fried bacon no less. Who said I can't eat my bacon and drink it, too?
